Christie Schutte is a familiar name in the local music industry. In 1995, he and Juliet Schutte founded the renowned ProTrax Music Production House, producing soundtracks for the local market. Together, they also established a national singing competition called "Reik na die Sterre," which has become the largest and most sought-after singing competition in South Africa. During this period, Christie also established his recording studio, working with a variety of local artists.

In 2007, Christie made the decision to establish his own brand, StarTrax Recording Studios. Here, Christie collaborates with some of the country's top artists and record labels, including Jennifer Zamudio, Nicholis Louw, Romanz, Ray Dylan, Willie & Natasha Joubert, Manne wat Glo, Dewald Gouws, Burgerd & Zita, Elizma Theron, Jakkie Louw, and Charlize Berg. Christie has also had the privilege of showcasing his skills internationally with the group Los Angeles: The Voices (Netherlands). He has taken responsibility for the recording, production, processing, mixing, and final mastering of two albums, both of which achieved Gold and Platinum status respectively in the Netherlands. On the international front, he also collaborates with a Television Media House, RTL in the Netherlands.

Christie has also proven himself as a master in artist development and general market positioning. He creates a unique sound and market space for artists. For instance, he has worked with artists like Adam Tas and Deon Groot. Christie has produced three Platinum albums with Adam Tas: "Storm van Liefde," "‘n Man van stof," and "Want jy is boer." Additionally, "‘n Tas vol CASH" achieved Gold status, and "Patatas en Pyptabak" achieved Gold status within the first week of release. 

Christie is also involved in the development of young emerging artists aspiring to enter the Afrikaans music industry. In collaboration with a top singing school in Pretoria, Studio Cha Sang Afrigting & Kunstenaar Ontwikkeling, Christie provides guidance on artist identity development. Christie is an outstanding mentor with years of expertise, highly valued by young emerging artists.
